Abstract

World Helath Organization (WHO) menemukan pemanfaatan layanan kesehatan remaja sangat rendah.

Background: Adolescence is interpreted as a time when a person has a risky attitude that exposes them to sexual and reproductive health. World Health Organization (WHO) found that the utilization of adolescent health services was very low. Contributing factors related to the low utilization of sexual and reproductive health services among adolescents are knowledge and perceptions, socio-cultural factors, poor access and poor quality of health services.

Aim of Review: To review evidence related barriers to access sexual and reproductive health services for adolescents

Methods: The method used in this research is a scoping review which consists of 5 stages, namely identifying scoping review questions with the PEO framework, identify relevant articles by determining inclusion and exclusion criteria, perform article searches through relevant databases; selection of articles with Prism Flow Chart, conducting Critical Appraisal; perform data charting; compiling, summarizing and reporting results.

Results: Out of 10 articles, there are 7 qualitative articles, and 3 Mix-method articles with 2 themes, namely barriers to access to sexual and reproductive health services and health care needs.

Conclusion: Based on the results, it was found that the obstacles experienced by adolescents in accessing sexual and reproductive health services were the lack of knowledge and available information services, the attitude of judgmental service providers, the high cost of accessing services for adolescents whose economy was still dependent on their parents and negative stigma not only from society, but from parents who still think that something related to sexuality is taboo. Policy implementation, lack of coordination and collaboration in several regions as well as limited cooperation between the education sector and the health sector have resulted in the lack of implementation of adolescent sexual and reproductive health service programs.
